Bob Strade currently serves as the Managing Director of the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO).  Prior to joining EO in July 2007, Bob served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the World Presidents' Organization (WPO), an international not-for-profit organization of approximately 4,800 individuals who are, or have been, Chief Executive Officers of major business enterprises worldwide. WPO members are the owners and/or operators of wholesale or retail businesses, perform professional services, lead investment, banking or other financial organizations, are in manufacturing and/or run family owned businesses. Combined sales of WPO-owned businesses exceed half a trillion dollars annually. As the CEO of WPO, Mr. Strade was responsible for achieving economical, productive performance, providing forward-looking programming and ensuring the constructive growth of the organization. Prior to joining WPO in 1998, Mr. Strade served as Executive Director of the Office of Association Relations at the United States Chamber of Commerce-the world's largest federation of businesses, local and state chambers of commerce and trade and professional associations. As head of association relations for the US Chamber, Bob was responsible for advancing and supporting the business of associations, as well as enhancing the value of associations to the business community and policy makers. Through appropriate programs, products and services, his office acted as the Chamber's primary liaison with the association community nationwide. Prior to joining the Chamber in 1995, Bob was Director of Executive Employment Services with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where he was responsible for ASAE's nation-wide executive search services, peer evaluation program, consulting services and regularly scheduled employment seminars. He served concurrently as the Director of ASAE's CEO Center, spearheading the organization's efforts to provide exclusive products, programs and services to its 8,000 chief staff executive members. Before joining ASAE in 1987, Bob spent 13 years in education as both a teacher and administrator. He currently serves, or has served, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Association Leadership, the Industry Advisory Council of Associated Luxury Hotels, Inc. (ALHI), the Board of Advisors of College Parents of America and the Board of Directors of No Greater Love. He is a long-time member of the American Society of Association Executives. Bob holds a bachelor's degree from Marietta College and has completed additional graduate coursework at the University of Virginia and Old Dominion University. He resides in Germantown, Maryland with his wife and two sons.
